Velvet Unicorn Amigurumi Pattern (English)

Materials:

  • Ice Yarns Velvet Baby (Cream, Pink, Yellow, Blue, Lavender)
  • 4.5 mm crochet hook
  • Safety eyes (optional, embroidered eyes also look great)
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors

Abbreviations (US terms):

  • MR = Magic Ring
  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • inc = increase (2 sc in 1 stitch)
  • dec = decrease (sc 2 together)
  • st = stitch
  • sl st = slip stitch
  •  = repeat the instructions between asterisks

Head (Cream Yarn):

  1. MR, 6 sc (6)
  2. inc x6 (12)
  3. sc, inc x6 (18)
  4. 2 sc, inc x6 (24)
  5. 3 sc, inc x6 (30)
    6–12. sc around (30)
  6. 3 sc, dec x6 (24)
  7. 2 sc, dec x6 (18)
  8. sc, dec x6 (12)
  9. dec x6 (6)
    Fasten off and stuff firmly.

Body (Cream Yarn):

  1. MR, 6 sc
  2. inc x6 (12)
  3. sc, inc x6 (18)
  4. 2 sc, inc x6 (24)
  5. 3 sc, inc x6 (30)
    6–14. sc around (30)
  6. 3 sc, dec x6 (24)
  7. 2 sc, dec x6 (18)
  8. sc, dec x6 (12)
  9. dec x6 (6)
    Fasten off and stuff.

Arms (Make 2, start with Pink, then Cream):

  1. MR, 6 sc
  2. inc x6 (12)
    3–4. sc around (12)
    Change to Cream
    5–10. sc around (12)
    Stuff lightly and close.

Legs (Make 2, start with Pink, then Cream):

  1. MR, 6 sc
  2. inc x6 (12)
  3. sc, inc x6 (18)
    4–5. sc around (18)
    Change to Cream
    6–10. sc around (18)
    Stuff and sew to body.

Ears (Make 2, Cream Yarn):

  1. MR, 4 sc
  2. sc, inc x2 (6)
    3–4. sc around (6)
    Flatten and sew to head.

Horn (Yellow Yarn):

  1. MR, 4 sc
  2. sc around (4)
  3. sc, inc (6)
    4–5. sc around (6)
  4. sc, inc (9)
    Stuff lightly and sew to head.

Mane and Tail (Pastel Colors):

  • Cut 6–8 strands each of lavender, yellow, blue, and pink yarn.
  • Attach as loops to the back of the head (mane) and bottom (tail).
  • Trim to desired length.

Assembly:

  1. Sew head to body.
  2. Sew arms and legs to the body.
  3. Attach ears and horn to the head.
  4. Embroider sleepy eyes with black yarn or embroidery thread.
  5. Attach mane and tail yarn strands.
