Materials Needed

Crochet Hook: 5.mm

Abbreviations
sc –
single crochet 

dc – double crochet

ch – chain

st – stitch

Pattern:

R-1. Ch8, mark 8th chain with a stitch marker. Ch81 (or multiples of 4+1)

R-2. Ch2 (counts as 1sc) 1sc in 4th ch from hook 1sc in each ch along, turn.

R-3. Ch3 (counts as 1dc) miss 1 st, (1dc, ch2, 1dc) into next st, miss 1st, 1 dc in next. turn.

R-4. Ch3 (counts as 1dc) (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch2 sp, miss 2dc, 1dc in next st. turn.

R-5. Ch3 (counts as 1dc) (3dc, ch2, 3dc) in next ch2 sp. Miss 2 dc, 1dc in next st. turn.

R-6. Ch3 (counts as 1dc) 8dc into ch2 sp, miss 3dc, 1dc in next st. Ch8 and finish.

Optional:

Adding Buttons: You can create buttonholes on one side. To do this, leave out a few stitches on the last row for the buttonholes, and sew on matching buttons on the other side.
